The History and Origins of Samoyed Breed

The Samoyed breed originated in the Siberia, specifically in the Samoyedic people, who are an indigenous people of Russia.

The breed was developed by the Samoyedic people as a working dog to herd reindeer, pull sleds and as a watchdog.

Samoyeds were brought to Europe by explorers and traders in the late 19th century and were recognized by the American Kennel Club in 1906.

Samoyeds have a thick, fluffy coat that protected them from the harsh arctic climate.

Samoyeds are known for their friendly and playful nature, and are known to "smile" by curling the corners of their mouth.

Samoyeds are also known for their stamina and endurance making them suitable for dog sports such as sledding, skijoring, and carting.

Samoyeds are known to be independent thinkers and require proper training and socialization to prevent them from becoming stubborn or disobedient.
